Description
The Steuben County Community Foundation (SCCF) offers Humanities Fund Grants to nonprofit organizations bringing humanities experiences to Steuben County residents. Supported activities include performances, exhibits, multicultural experiences, workshops, and readings on humanities topics. The fund emphasizes both awareness and active participation, while the Humanities Council supports programs that boost local talent and bring arts and humanities to the county.
The grants are part of SCCF’s donor-supported work to create “brighter tomorrows” and improve local quality of life. The foundation gives special consideration to collaborative projects and projects that consider and attempt to address root causes. Projects must align with the applicant’s mission and strategic plan and demonstrate board support. Volunteer committees review proposals and recommend awards, with final decisions made by SCCF’s Board of Directors.
