Description
The Humanities Initiative Programming Fund is overseen by the Cogut Institute for the Humanities as part of Brown University’s Humanities Initiative. It supports collaborative scholarly projects and teaching that enhance academic and creative dialogue across campus. Projects must have humanistic objectives and humanities faculty at their core, while collaborations extending into the arts, social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, public policy, and other fields are encouraged.
Supported work may include joint research, conferences, digital resources, exhibitions, public humanities, and new uses of Brown’s special collections and scholarly resources. Collaborative teaching may bring together Brown colleagues and visitors from other institutions. Some preference is given to undergraduate courses addressing questions of broad social and intellectual importance. Both in-person and online programming are supported.
