Description
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education administers Hunger Free Campus grants to help private nonprofit postsecondary institutions and tribal colleges in Minnesota address student food insecurity. Funding supports on-campus food pantries or regular distributions through local food-bank partnerships, information about SNAP, the Minnesota Family Investment Program, and other food resources, and notices to work-study students about potential SNAP eligibility.
The program also supports emergency assistance grants for students, annual hunger awareness events, and campus hunger task forces that include enrolled students. Applicants should show how grant funds will support, fulfill, or sustain these activities.
