Description
The Pittman-Robertson Hunter Access Grant Program is administered by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game’s Division of Wildlife Conservation. It provides competitive grants to partners to design and build projects that develop and enhance public access for hunting, trapping, target shooting, and other wildlife-related recreation.
The grant is part of the department’s broader Hunter Access Program and is coordinated through the Hunter Access Development Program in Anchorage. A program criteria summary and call for proposals provide the framework for proposed work. The department also publishes proposal-preparation resources, match guidance, invoicing policies, and federal financial assistance and infrastructure-related Buy America guidance.
