Support requests for workshops and events supports event organizers and cryosphere scientists through workshops, education, travel, and targeted conference activities that advance IACS objectives.

Description
The International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS) co-sponsors cryosphere-related workshops, educational activities, and other events that further its objectives and align with the remits of its divisions. Support can fund event organization, registration or travel for early career scientists and participants from developing countries, and best-student prizes. Event organizers apply directly to IACS for support.
The programme also supports targeted activities at other organizations’ conferences when they are additional to the regular programme. Examples include career development, science communication, and research ethics or diversity events. IACS should take an active role in these activities. In years with IACS/IUGG assemblies, priority goes to travel grants and events held at or in close connection with those assemblies.
