--- ## Description The IADR Cariology Research Group Science Award is designed to promote and recognize high-quality research in the fields of cariology, erosion, and related areas. The award is presented annually at the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) scientific meeting. Researchers whose abstracts are accepted and presented at the meeting, and who select the Cariology Research Group (CRG) as their review group and opt-in for the award during submission, are eligible for consideration. The award aims to foster innovation and excellence in cariology research through a rigorous peer-review and selection process. --- ## Due Dates - Application/abstract submission deadline (anticipated): October 2026 *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Award amount: $500 per recipient - Typically up to three recipients are selected annually, though the number may vary (occasionally no award is given if entries are insufficient in quality or quantity). --- ## Eligibility - Abstracts must be in the field of caries, erosion, or closely related subjects. - The abstract must be submitted for presentation at the annual IADR scientific meeting. - During abstract submission, applicants must: - Select the Cariology Research Group (CRG) as the review group. - Indicate their wish to be considered for the Science Award. - Abstracts authored by members of the CRG Executive Committee are not eligible. - The presenting author is expected to attend the IADR meeting and CRG-related activities, including the annual business meeting. --- ## Application Process - Submit an abstract through the [IADR General Session abstract portal](https://www.iadr.org/2026iags) by the anticipated deadline. - During submission, select CRG as the group for review and opt-in for the Cariology Research Group Science Award. - Eligible abstracts are reviewed in a two-step process: 1. Primary review by CRG Abstract Lead Reviewers, incorporating feedback from assigned reviewers. 2.
