--- ## Description This award, sponsored by the Cariology Research Group (CRG) of the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR), is designed to recognize and encourage exceptional student research in the areas of dental caries and dental erosion. The award aims to foster innovation and scientific advancement among undergraduate and graduate students in dental-related disciplines. Winners will be acknowledged during the CRG Business Meeting at the IADR General Session. --- ## Due Dates - Applications Open: July 14, 2025 - Applications Close (Abstract Submission Deadline): October 22, 2025 Applicants must submit their abstracts for presentation at the annual IADR General Session, which will be held March 25–28, 2026, in San Diego, CA, USA. --- ## Funding Amount - First Place: $1,000 and a certificate - Second Place: $500 and a certificate Awards are presented to the top two student researchers as judged by the CRG review and onsite evaluation process. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be IADR student members who are also members of the Cariology Research Group. - Open to both undergraduate and graduate students in any dental-related discipline. - Research must be on a topic related to dental caries and/or dental erosion. - Abstract must be submitted for presentation at the annual IADR General Session, selecting the CRG as the review group and indicating consideration for this award. --- ## Application Process 1. **Membership:** Ensure you are an IADR student member and have joined the Cariology Research Group. 2. **Abstract Submission:** Submit your research abstract for presentation at the annual IADR General Session via the [official submission portal](https://www.iadr.org/2026iags). During submission, select the Cariology Research Group as your review group and indicate your interest in being considered for the award. 3. **Review Process:** Abstracts are reviewed by CRG reviewers. Those rated “Exceptional” or “Exceed Standards” are selected for final evaluation. 4. **Final Evaluation:** Selected students will present their research onsite to a panel of two appointed judges during a specific session at the General Session.
