Description
The IADR Microbiology/Immunology Group offers these awards to recognize research excellence, support travel to the IADR General Session and Exhibition, and attract early-career researchers to oral microbiology and immunology. The group offers additional travel awards for outstanding research by students and postdoctoral fellows.
Two named awards honor Dr. Susan Kinder Haake and Dr. Arnold Bleiweis. Each recognizes a student in training whose outstanding research examines the microbial basis of oral infectious disease. The awards reflect Dr. Haake’s contributions as a clinician-scientist in oral microbiology and Dr. Bleiweis’s work on the pathogenesis of dental caries.
