Description
The IADR Regional Development Program supports initiatives that initiate research and development or strengthen oral health research infrastructure in developing regions. Run by the International Association for Dental Oral and Craniofacial Research, it advances the association’s strategic priority of promoting oral health research worldwide, particularly where research programs are less developed. Ongoing initiatives that have demonstrated an ability to promote research development may also receive support.
Priorities include sustainable research development, building local research capacity, and mentoring developing scientists. Activities may include travel for established scientists to work on site with students and developing researchers. The program gives highest priority to researchers in low- and lower-middle-income countries and favors projects supporting the WHO global oral health strategy and action plan. Collaboration among IADR Divisions, Sections, Regions, and expert partners is encouraged.
