Description
The International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) supports scholarship in medical science education through two complementary grant categories. Educational Scholarship Grants fund systematic collection and analysis of medical education data to produce generalizable information for dissemination. Curriculum Innovation Grants fund enrichment of teaching and learning beyond normal faculty expectations, including advances in pedagogy, technology, content development, and professional development.
Both categories favor new projects aligned with IAMSE’s mission. Projects should address an identified need, use appropriate methods, establish measurable outcomes, and demonstrate feasibility and sustainability after the two-year funding period. Supported work should benefit health science education, a target population, the applicant’s institution, or a wider community. The Educational Scholarship Committee administers review, and recipients must present their work at an IAMSE conference within three years of the award start date.
