The IAMSE-ScholarRx Educational Research Grant is offered by the International Association of Medical Science Educators in partnership with ScholarRx to promote student participation in medical education research. It supports innovative educational research and scholarship aligned with IAMSE’s mission to advance health professions education through teacher development and keep medical science teaching grounded in foundational sciences and best teaching practices.
The program emphasizes designing and evaluating approaches to teaching the sciences fundamental to health professions, then sharing findings with other educators. Projects should address a literature-supported need, use methods suited to clear research aims, and assess meaningful outcomes that may apply beyond the immediate study. Innovation, feasibility during the student’s enrollment, and a suitable dissemination plan are central considerations.
