Description
The Dana Foundation and the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) support public education about the brain and the benefits of neuroscience research through these Brain Awareness Week grants. Funding helps organizers expand outreach and reach broader, more diverse audiences in countries outside Europe. The program particularly supports regions where limited resources, support, or public understanding make neuroscience outreach challenging.
Supported activities connect brain science with everyday life and foster public enthusiasm for neuroscience. Examples include school outreach, brain fairs, workshops, laboratory tours, public discussions, and awareness campaigns. Interdisciplinary projects are especially encouraged, including those connecting neuroscience with arts, law, policy, technology, or psychology.
