    Description

The International Center of Medieval Art (ICMA), with support from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, offers this grant to support research and interpretive programming for major exhibitions at institutions that otherwise could not provide such financial support. The program encourages expansive approaches to art and society across the medieval world, innovative exhibition themes, and opportunities to bring little-known objects before new audiences.

Funding connects exhibition preparation with public engagement. It can support travel to inspect objects being considered for inclusion, as well as gallery talks, public lectures, or symposia once an exhibition is installed. The grant is intended for exhibitions already in development and scheduled by a host museum, rather than exhibitions that have not yet been scheduled.
