Description
The Idaho Commission for Libraries administers Bucks for Books in partnership with the Idaho Lottery Commission. The program helps Idaho elementary school libraries add high-quality, age-appropriate books to their circulating collections, giving students more choices to read at school and take home with their families.
The program responds to limited school library book budgets and the possibility that some children have few books at home. Its goals include increasing reading in Idaho children’s homes, improving access to quality fiction and nonfiction, and increasing the number of children reading on grade level.
