Description
The Idaho Motorbike Program is administered by the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) and funded through annual ATV, motorbike, and UTV registration sales. Established in 1972, the program reinvests registration revenue in recreational off-highway vehicle access, places to ride, and off-road rider education.
The program supports special leases or permits and purchases of privately, state-, or federally owned land for recreational off-highway vehicle activity. It also funds securing, maintaining, constructing, or developing trails and other off-highway vehicle recreational facilities on state and federal lands. Other authorized uses include developing and implementing an off-road rider education program under the Park and Recreation Board’s direction and acquiring applicable federal matching funds.
