Description
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) runs the Idle Sites Redevelopment Program to help communities put redevelopment plans into action. It supports work on large industrial, commercial, and institutional sites that have been idle, abandoned, or underused for at least two years.
Approved projects can use grant funds for demolition, environmental remediation, rehabilitation, and infrastructure improvements. The program aims to return sites to development-ready status or improve their market attractiveness, strengthening local economies and tax bases.
