Description
This grant program helps Illinois prekindergarten through 12th grade teachers fund educational field trips focused on Illinois history. The goal is to enrich classroom instruction by enabling students to experience historic sites firsthand, deepening their understanding of state history through direct, experiential learning. Field trips must be tied to historical topics currently taught in the curriculum and must visit one of the approved historic sites listed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
