The IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) offers Undergraduate/Pre-Graduate Scholarships to attract students to microwave and radio-frequency (RF) engineering. The program supports BS, combined BS/MS, and MS students in electrical engineering or related fields, encouraging them to pursue employment or a PhD in the microwave/RF discipline.
The society holds two scholarship competitions each year. Students undertake a project or thesis supervised by a faculty mentor; work conducted in conjunction with industry is also eligible when a faculty mentor is identified. Awards provide cash assistance for project materials or stipends, a certificate of recognition, and access to a limited number of conference travel supplements.
