Joseph John Suozzi INTELEC® Fellowship Award in Power Electronics supports graduate students’ power electronics study and projects to address the power needs of communication systems.
Funder: IEEE Power Electronics Society
Due Dates (Anticipated): March 2027 (Application deadline)
Funding Amounts: USD 15,000 honorarium and a certificate presented at INTELEC®
Summary: Supports electrical engineering graduate students researching power electronics for information and communication technology and related energy systems.
Key Information: Applicants must be IEEE Graduate Student Members and PELS members.
The IEEE Power Electronics Society’s Joseph John Suozzi INTELEC® Fellowship Award supports graduate study and project work in power electronics applied to information and communication technology and related energy systems. The proposed work must connect power electronics research to powering communication systems, rather than address power electronics in isolation.
The fellowship honors the late Dr. Joseph John Suozzi, a founder and long-time leader of the IEEE International Telecommunications Energy Conference (INTELEC®). Selection considers the technical merit and novelty of the proposed study topic alongside the applicant’s academic performance. Recognition includes an honorarium and a certificate presented at the INTELEC® conference.
