    Description

The IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) provides Student Travel Grants to help students present papers at PELS-sponsored events. The program aims to increase student participation at IEEE conferences and workshops by supporting travel associated with presenting their work, rather than funding the research described in their papers.

PELS also seeks to broaden the geographic reach of its support, choosing recipients so that students from as many countries as possible receive assistance. When applications exceed available funds, selection favors the best papers according to review ratings and students who have not previously received support. First authors and students with more than one accepted paper also receive preference.
