Description
The International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD) supports innovative studies and recognizes outstanding research through its Nancy and Bill Norton Research Program. The program encourages collaboration among clinicians and scientists to advance understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, including adult and pediatric functional GI and motility disorders. Its patient-oriented mission emphasizes scientific advances that improve care and quality of life.
The 2027 Research Grant supports high-quality basic or clinical research related to gastrointestinal disorders within IFFGD’s portfolio. Proposals should ultimately improve understanding of GI illness, its pathophysiology, and patient care. Research priorities span symptom mechanisms and management, physiological processes, therapeutic targets, neurobiology, technology, and novel approaches to care.
