Description
The Institute of Historical Research (IHR) offers these bursaries to enable early career researchers to undertake research in history, broadly defined, at the Institute and/or other London-based archives. The programme also supports participation in activities that help researchers develop their work. Awards are made possible through the support of the IHR Friends, Professor David Bates and the Estate of the late Alwyn Ruddock.
The bursaries normally help cover the costs of a research trip to London. Recipients are expected to use the IHR as their base and participate in its activities, connecting their research visit with the Institute’s library, seminars, conferences and wider research community.
