This program, administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA), supports the creation and execution of comprehensive, data-driven media education campaigns to increase public awareness of pedestrian and bicyclist safety across Alabama. The initiative aims to reduce injuries and fatalities among vulnerable road users through culturally competent messaging, accessible media, and targeted outreach—especially in high-risk communities. Successful applicants will design, produce, and place media assets, engage community groups, and provide regular performance and evaluation reports.
