Description
The IMA Research Foundation’s Doctoral Scholars Program supports students in accredited doctoral programs who are developing research that advances management accounting literature and practice. Its central goal is to increase the number of professors who teach and conduct research in management accounting, preparing future educators and researchers for an evolving global business environment.
Three funding stages support work at different points in doctoral education: an initial management accounting research paper, research with potential for presentation at a premier academic research conference, and research with potential for publication in a premier academic journal. Support can cover research-related expenses and, for full-time students, stipends. The program seeks to develop scholars who will teach and mentor the next generation of students while advancing management accounting research and the profession.
