--- ## Description The IMA Research Foundation Emerging Scholar Award honors early-career researchers who have made significant and impactful contributions to the applied management accounting literature. The award is designed to celebrate outstanding research achievements and to encourage continued excellence in the field. Recipients are recognized at the IMA’s annual breakfast during the American Accounting Association (AAA) annual meeting and receive a monetary award, as well as an IMA membership if not already a member. --- ## Due Dates - April 1, 2026: Nomination submission deadline (annual window closes) *Nominations are accepted annually from September 1 through April 1.* --- ## Funding Amount - $2,500 cash award - Includes a one-year IMA membership if the recipient is not already a member --- ## Eligibility - Must be an early-career researcher in applied management accounting. - Must have published at least one single-authored manuscript or a co-authored article where they were the lead author. - Must hold a terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., DBA, Ed.D.) received within the prior five years. - Nominations can be submitted by the candidate, a peer, or a member of the IMA Research Foundation’s Awards Committee. --- ## Application Process To nominate a candidate or submit a self-nomination, provide: - The candidate’s curriculum vitae, including educational and professional background. - A research bibliography, which may include project proposals, sponsored research, and other indicators of research accomplishments.
