Description
The Foundation of the American Society of Neuroradiology and the Alzheimer’s Association jointly offer this grant to advance imaging research in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. It supports early-stage pilot projects developing novel imaging tools, conducting imaging-based research, or applying innovative analysis to imaging data related to Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The partners seek to improve imaging’s diagnostic and prognostic power and its use as a biomarker in clinical studies. Longer-term goals include understanding disease development and progression, informing risk reduction and prevention, and helping distinguish populations and potential treatments. Investigators are strongly encouraged to plan how they will overcome barriers to enrolling people from health disparity populations.
