    Description

The Association for Molecular Pathology’s IMPACT Award provides travel assistance and meeting registration for a molecular professional to attend the AMP Annual Meeting & Expo. It supports meeting participation and abstract presentation as opportunities to expand knowledge of molecular diagnostics, benefit the attendee’s professional work, and enhance career development. The award is directed toward professionals in low or lower-middle income countries who lack institutional funding for travel and/or registration.

The program also emphasizes extending the benefits of attendance beyond the recipient. Applicants describe how they will share their meeting experiences with local and national colleagues, including through teaching responsibilities, and outline any local activities with laboratory associations. This focus connects conference attendance with professional learning and the exchange of molecular diagnostics knowledge.
