Description
Marshall Community Foundation’s Impact Grants support capacity building, new major projects, and challenge grants in greater Marshall and Calhoun County, Michigan. With limited exceptions, projects should directly benefit residents of the City of Marshall and surrounding townships. The program favors substantial community benefits, broad participation, volunteer involvement, and collaboration that avoids duplicating services.
Priorities include organizational self-sufficiency and efficiency, workforce development, innovative start-up efforts, and projects addressing underlying causes of local challenges. The Foundation also emphasizes access to resources for low-income or underserved populations, poverty intervention, food insecurity, and youth development. Youth priorities include student performance, teacher training, supplemental programs, and mental health. Proposals seeking challenge or matching resources are favored.
