Description
This program provides special funding opportunities for organizations engaged in health and youth development in the Greater New Orleans region. The initiative includes several targeted funding categories:
- The Kahn Oppenheim Trust for public health outreach and education,
- The Harold W. Newman Trust for healthcare assistance for middle-income residents with specific diseases,
- The Gulf States Eye Surgery Fund for eye care for indigent patients,
- The Michael R. Boh Fund for supporting children and families rejected by mainstream institutions.
Priority is given to organizations demonstrating strong leadership, sound fiscal management, equity commitments, meaningful community involvement, advocacy for underserved populations, creative stakeholder engagement, and integration of community perspectives into services and policy initiatives.
