Description
The International Myeloma Society (IMS) Career Development Award supports young investigators working toward careers in plasma cell disorders. Now in its seventh annual cycle, the program aims to develop the next generation of leaders while encouraging collaboration between institutions. Research projects across all areas of plasma cell dyscrasias are eligible, including basic and translational research.
The award combines research support with a mentored experience in a substantively different institutional environment. Applicants identify a host mentor who will support their development and provide access to research resources. Funding can help cover salary, visa status adjustment, and travel, while the host laboratory supplies the resources needed to conduct the proposed work.
