Description
This program, administered by California's Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), funds regional pilot projects designed to increase the recycling of empty glass beverage containers collected from restaurants and on-sale retail establishments licensed under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act. The grant supports projects that provide collection bins, facilitate the collection and consolidation of glass, and transport the material to glass processing facilities. The overall goal is to divert glass from landfills and enhance California’s beverage container recycling infrastructure.
