Description
The Incubator Grant, administered by SIR Foundation and previously called the Funding Source Development Grant, helps clinical researchers prepare studies for subsequent funding. It supports work aligned with the foundation’s clinical research goals and important to advancing interventional radiology and patient care.
Supported outputs include a complete clinical study protocol, a federal funding application to NIH, AHRQ, or another federal entity, a clinical proposal for industry funding, and an operations or training manual with supporting study materials. The program prioritizes projects identified by an SIR Foundation Research Consensus Panel (RCP), but projects developed outside that process are also eligible. Its purpose is to develop fundable clinical research proposals, not to carry out the studies themselves.
