Description
AbbVie’s Independent Educational Grants support education on current, new, and emerging science and standards of care. The program aims to improve patients’ experiences and quality of care, advance medical practice, and increase treatment knowledge and disease awareness. Support includes independent continuing education for healthcare providers, patient education through patient organizations, and fellowships for healthcare providers in training.
Priorities include telemedicine and telehealth education that strengthens patient engagement, and education bridging academia with community and rural settings. Therapeutic areas include immunology, oncology, neuroscience, aesthetics, eye care, and other areas of significant unmet patient need. Educational support is independent of support for AbbVie’s medicines and treatments.
