    Description

    Takeda Pharmaceuticals offers Independent Medical Education (IME) Grants to support high-quality, unbiased, evidence-based educational initiatives for healthcare professionals, teams, patients, payers, and health systems. The program aims to close clinical and practice gaps, enhance clinical knowledge and skills, and empower patients to actively participate in their healthcare. Supported activities must be planned and implemented independently of industry influence and be fair-balanced and scientifically rigorous.

    Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

    • Oncology: Colorectal cancer, chronic phase chronic myeloid leukemia, lymphoma, Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia, polycythemia vera, and ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer
    • Gastroenterology: Inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, short bowel syndrome-intestinal failure
    • Hematology: Von Willebrand disease, hemophilia A
    • Immunology: Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, hereditary angioedema, primary immunodeficiency disease
    • Neuroscience: Narcolepsy type 1
    • Rare metabolic diseases: Gaucher disease, Hunter syndrome
    • Transplant: Cytomegalovirus infection
