Description
The Washington State Department of Ecology’s Toxics Cleanup Program offers Independent Remedial Action Grants to local governments that have independently cleaned up contamination through the Voluntary Cleanup Program. These post-cleanup grants are intended to encourage and expedite remedial work while reducing cleanup costs for ratepayers and taxpayers.
Eligible work spans investigation, planning, construction, and early follow-up. It includes interim actions, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedy selection, engineering design, remedy construction, and independent remedial action plans and reports. Operation, maintenance, or monitoring of a constructed remedy is eligible for up to one year.
