The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (Indiana CTSI) offers K12 Early Career Investigator Awards to help promising early-career faculty develop careers in clinical-translational science and research. The program provides mentoring in research-intensive, multidisciplinary settings, with an emphasis on work that connects scientific findings to advances in human health.
Supported research spans movement from basic laboratory and preclinical findings toward new treatments, interventions, and clinical trials, as well as dissemination, clinical implementation, population health outcomes, and health metrics. Indiana CTSI aims to make awards across these translational stages rather than concentrate on a single phase. Translation need not follow a linear sequence: projects may skip steps depending on their starting point and the nature of the proposed work.
