    Description

The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute's Research Project Development Teams (PDTs) provide small research awards alongside access to expertise, resources, and potential collaborators. The Project Refinement route supports investigators developing a project before its first external submission, with pilot funding to obtain preliminary or additional data.

Each PDT brings together experienced senior faculty on an Indiana CTSI campus around a common research theme. Teams include biostatisticians and regulatory experts, with other specialists added as needed when an application is discussed. This structure connects investigators with relevant expertise in one place, combining data-generation support with opportunities to refine a research project and develop collaborations.
