Indiana Humanities Mini-Grants help Indiana organizations develop and implement humanities programming in their communities. Administered by Indiana Humanities with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the program aims to expand public access to experiences that educate, inspire curiosity, promote dialogue, and help people understand a diverse and complex world.
Supported formats include workshops, presentations, reading and discussion programs, exhibitions, podcasts, and film documentaries. Topics may include history, literature, languages, comparative religion, law, ethics, philosophy, archaeology, world cultures, and the history and criticism of the arts. Programming in other subject areas may qualify when it uses humanities-centered practices such as conversations around texts, critical thinking, or historical and philosophical inquiry. Projects must have a strong humanities focus and involve humanities scholars in planning and implementation.
