Description
The Indigenous Graduate Fellowships (IGF) 5th Year Award at the University of British Columbia (UBC) provides eligible Indigenous PhD students with an additional year of funding to support the unique demands of community-engaged research. This award is designed to recognize and address the significant time and resources required for building relationships, supporting community capacity development, conducting fieldwork, and establishing reciprocal, community-led research protocols. The initiative aligns with UBC’s commitment to advancing Indigenous engagement and the recommendations of the CAGS (Re)conciliation Task Force Report.
