Description
The Oregon Arts Commission, within Business Oregon, offers Individual Artist Fellowships to honor professional artists’ achievements and support their career advancement. Fellowships alternate between performing arts and visual arts. The 2027 cycle is for performing arts, including choreography, dance, music composition and performance, theater, performance art, storytelling, and puppetry. Performing arts work samples may also represent socially engaged, traditional, folk and heritage, culturally specific, or interdisciplinary practices.
Reviewers consider artistic quality, sustained professional achievement, and potential for future contribution to the field. Creative excellence demonstrated in work samples is central to selection. Artists from underserved communities, including rural communities and communities of color, are especially encouraged to apply.
