Description
The Individual Artist Fellowships, administered by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, recognize and support practicing artists who are permanent residents of New Jersey. Awards are provided through an anonymous, competitive review process and are not need- or project-based. The fellowships are intended to empower artists across a rotating selection of disciplines—such as choreography, crafts, music composition, photography, playwriting/screenwriting, poetry, and sculpture—to advance their creative practice and pursue their artistic goals. Funding can be used for a wide range of artistic activities, including supplies, studio rental, or professional development, but not for international travel, academic study, or major equipment purchases.
