Individual Artist Mini-Grant supports Mississippi artists with training, promotion, sales opportunities and supplies for new work to develop their practice and advance their careers.

Key Information: Applicants must be professional artists over 18 and permanent, legal, full-time Mississippi residents.
Description
The Mississippi Arts Commission’s Individual Artist Mini-Grant helps established and emerging professional artists develop their practice and advance their careers. It supports arts-based training, conferences and workshops, including related travel; booth fees for showing or selling artwork; and marketing such as websites, professional photographs, online portfolios and printed promotional materials.
Artists may also seek support to produce items for direct sale or buy expendable supplies used to create new work. Applications are judged on the artistic excellence of the applicant’s work and how the proposed project will further their artistic career. Priority goes to artists who have not received funding in recent grant rounds and those living in the commission’s identified underserved counties.
