The Individual Artists Fellowship program, administered by regional organizations in partnership with the California Arts Council, uplifts and celebrates California artists and culture bearers working across all disciplines and traditions. The program is designed to recognize artistic excellence, community impact, and leadership, providing direct, unrestricted financial support to artists at pivotal moments in their careers. Fellowships are available at three career stages—Emerging, Established, and Legacy—and include opportunities for professional development, networking, and increased public visibility through exhibitions, performances, and other programming.
