The Society for Industrial Archeology (SIA) offers DeLony Grants through the Eric DeLony Industrial Heritage Preservation Grant Fund. The program supports the study, documentation, recordation, and preservation of significant historic industrial sites, structures, buildings, and objects, including maritime facilities and industrial artifacts. It also supports the research needed to carry out these activities.
Supported work includes photography, videography, inventories, measured drawings, and projects that increase public awareness of preservation efforts. The Society seeks to promote understanding of industrial and technological history and encourage preservation of significant landscapes, structures, and equipment through continued or adaptive use. Projects are expected to produce tangible results that can be shared through the SIA Newsletter or IA, the Society’s scholarly journal.
