Description
The College of American Pathologists Foundation’s Informatics Travel Award supports pathology residents attending informatics-based educational sessions at the CAP Annual Meeting. It provides exposure to real-world, practical applications and helps residents understand the pathologist’s information management role and its impact on patient care. Funding helps defray travel and hotel expenses for this educational experience.
The award responds to growth in pathology informatics, including clinical applications, standardized reporting, laboratory test utilization, electronic health records, workflow, and patient safety. Recipients are expected to focus their meeting experience and learning on informatics. The supported meeting is CAP27, held September 9–11, 2027, in Chicago, Illinois.
