This opportunity, issued by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Processing Techniques Office (IPTO), is a broad agency announcement (BAA) seeking unconventional, high-impact research ideas in information processing, artificial intelligence, inherent security, privacy, and resilient megasystems. The office is particularly interested in projects that are not incremental improvements, but rather have the potential to deliver revolutionary advances and fundamentally new capabilities for national security.
The BAA is open to a wide range of technical topics, provided they are not duplicative of ongoing IPTO programs or published solicitations. Proposals are encouraged in three primary thrust areas:
Proposed efforts should be creative, agile, and have the potential to deliver significant leaps beyond the current state of the art. Projects focused on evolutionary improvements or duplicative efforts will not be considered.
