Description
The British Heart Foundation’s Infrastructure Grants support essential physical facilities and shared equipment for cardiovascular science at UK academic institutions. Awards can fund building refurbishment or major equipment that could not usually be requested through project or programme grants. The scheme is intended for senior cardiovascular scientists working in institutions with a strong commitment to cardiovascular research, and infrastructure must support multiple groups and research activities.
The proposed infrastructure should add value to current and planned research within a diverse and vibrant research environment. Assessment considers the research teams, institutional strategy, beneficiaries’ international competitiveness, local research capacity and plans for sustaining the infrastructure. BHF has temporarily paused the scheme while reviewing its future direction and will share further information with the research community in due course.
