The Innovation in Oral Care Awards, sponsored by the International Association for Dental Oral and Craniofacial Research (IADR) and Haleon, provide support for pioneering research projects aimed at developing new compounds, biomaterials, or devices that can significantly advance oral health at the population level. The awards are designed to encourage novel concepts and approaches that challenge current paradigms and have the potential for substantial public health impact. Research topics of interest include inhibition or removal of biofilms, surface modification to prevent deposits and stains, adhesives for prosthetic devices, prevention of tooth surface loss and gingival recession, and solutions for oral effects of dry mouth or systemic illness.
