This funding opportunity is designed to stimulate research-based innovation and transformation within Norway’s land-based food and beverage value chain. The grant supports projects that deliver new or significantly improved products, services, manufacturing processes, or delivery methods, with a focus on at least one of four thematic areas: food and supply security, climate/environment/circular economy, technology and digitalisation, or society and consumer. The initiative aims to trigger R&D activities that would not occur without external support, prioritizing applied research that addresses real challenges and knowledge needs throughout the value chain. Projects must align with Norwegian agricultural policy objectives and demonstrate clear utility, value creation, profitability, and sustainable development.
