    Description

This Horizon Europe funding opportunity aims to advance innovative models for collective community investment and ownership, with a focus on empowering local stakeholders—including marginalized and vulnerable groups—to co-create, invest in, own, and benefit from local commercial, housing, transitional, or mixed-use assets. Projects must address either a community equity investment model or an occupant equity model, developed and validated in at least three neighbourhoods across different EU Member States or Associated Countries. The initiative is closely linked to the New European Bauhaus (NEB) values of sustainability, inclusiveness, and aesthetics, and requires a participatory, transdisciplinary approach integrating social sciences and humanities (SSH) expertise.

Projects should assess the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of these models, tackle systemic challenges (such as market dynamics and long-term financial viability), and provide recommendations for scaling and adapting the models across diverse local and cultural contexts. Engagement with the NEB hub for sharing results and impact assessment is a mandatory part of the grant.
